Transversal teaching

The University organises cross-disciplinary teaching activities annually, allowing students to acquire skills that go beyond the specialised knowledge of their specific doctoral programme.

The cross-disciplinary teaching activities are organised in the following thematic areas:

  • Language skills improvement
  • IT skills improvement
  • Research management and knowledge of national and international research systems
  • Valorisation of research results and intellectual property
  • Ethics
  • Communication techniques
  • Professional development
  • Safety

As part of the cross-disciplinary teaching activities, it is mandatory to acquire at least 1 credit in the area of the Third Mission.

Doctoral students may attend cross-disciplinary courses organised by other universities/research institutions/companies. In such cases, the Academic Board will assess the suitability of the courses and determine the number of ECTS credits to be awarded.
